We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious HGV Driver Class 1 for a major logistics client based in the heart of Bolton BL1. Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Safely operate a Class 1 HGV (articulated lorry) on trunk roads and urban routes, conducting pre-start vehicle checks (walk-around checks) and reporting any defects immediately in accordance with DVSA standards.
- Efficiently load and unload goods, which may involve curtain-sider or box trailer operations, ensuring cargo is securely restrained and weight is distributed correctly, liaising with warehouse staff at Bolton and destination sites.
- Maintain meticulous digital and paper records, including Driver CPC records, digital tachograph data, delivery notes, and vehicle defect reports, ensuring full compliance with UK drivers' hours and working time regulations.
