Frequently Asked Questions
A CV (Composite Video) / Audio-Visual Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all audio and visual equipment within a venue. This includes everything from configuring microphones and speakers for a conference, managing video conferencing systems, to setting up complex multi-screen presentations and ensuring smooth live streaming. The role is hands-on, technical, and client-facing, requiring both expertise and excellent communication skills.
While experience with major brands like Crestron, Extron, Shure, Bose, or Poly is a significant advantage, the core requirement is a solid understanding of audio-visual principles (signal types, connectivity, basic networking). A skilled technician can adapt to different equipment. We value problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn over knowledge of one specific system. Our clients provide necessary training on their proprietary setups.
